The Professional Nanny Standard

Nanny training for the domestic helpers and maids working as nannies in the GCC.

The first of its kind. This is not a child development course. This is a Professional Nanny training, teaching the skills, systems and standards of an elite nanny, taught by a former nanny and governess to UHNW households, directly to the staff already in your home.

The Problem

You did not hire a nanny. You hired a maid.

And you are now paying her to raise your children.

The woman in your home was hired as a domestic helper. Her contract says maid. Her visa says maid. Her training, if she received any, was for cleaning a house. Not for the safety, the development, or the care of a child.

She is doing her best with what she has. But you can feel the gap, every day.

If your child stopped breathing, she would not know what to do.
No paediatric first aid. No CPR. No choking response. The most basic, life saving training every family assumes their nanny has, she does not.
She cannot swim. Your children are in the water every week.
Pool days. Beach trips. Hotel stays. The person responsible for watching them around water cannot save them if anything goes wrong.
Your home is on her phone. And on the internet.
Your children, your interiors, your family's private life, posted to strangers. She was never told what discretion means inside a private household, because no one trained her.
And underneath, the daily friction
  • School mornings are chaotic, because there is no system behind her.
  • No checklist, no routine. Things get missed every day.
  • You explain the same things over and over, because there is no onboarding document, no manual for your home.
  • She does not understand the line between her role and a maid's.
  • You are managing her, instead of being mother to your children.

You can fire and rehire, and start the same problem again. Or you can train the woman you already trust around your children. This is the second option.

The Methodology

The four pillars your nanny needs for success.

The structure of every day inside the workshop.

01
Safety

Must always come first. Paediatric first aid, water safety, risk anticipation, and the mindset that prevents the call you never want to receive.

02
Skills

Routines, travel and packing, menus, sleep, screens, and the daily work of running a child's life with precision.

03
Standards

Discretion, conduct, presentation, social media, and the line between her role and a maid's, taught clearly, once.

04
Support

Communication, handovers, partnership with the principal. The mindset that turns a placement into a long stay.

The Signature Deliverable

The Nanny Manual.

The onboarding document your household has never had, and the single biggest reason nannies fail.

Every nanny who attends builds her own Nanny Manual. A complete operational reference for your specific home. The children's schedules, teachers, doctors, friends, allergies, emergency protocols, household rules, the foods they will and will not eat, the small things you find yourself explaining over and over again.

It is the asset that outlasts the nanny who built it. The next time you hire, she will not arrive to a blank slate. She will arrive to a manual. You will not be starting from scratch again.

"When I moved to the Middle East, what I saw broke my heart. A child crawling on a concrete patch, eating crisps off the floor, while the nanny sat chatting to her friend, her phone propped up on the floor with a cartoon to keep him quiet."

"This is not the nannies' fault. They have been put in charge of children with no training, no onboarding, and no real understanding of what is expected of them. We have invested nothing in them."

"The Professional Nanny Standard is my answer to that."
