I Know the Standard Because I Lived It.
Everything I understand about people, how they think, what they need, and specifically how families really function behind closed doors, I learned from being in the room.
The instinct to fully immerse myself and adapt, rather than simply observe, shaped the fifteen years I spent as a professional Governess within the private homes of some of the world's most elite UHNW families across the UK and Middle East.
Managing the rhythms of extraordinary households, whilst caring for their children at the highest level, earned me the kind of trust that only comes from genuine and consistent dedication over time. It's the kind of trust that cannot be built through qualifications alone. It's built by really understanding what a family needs, often before they've understood it themselves, and by being fully immersed within the family life and culture.
In 2019, I decided to settle in Abu Dhabi, after previously living here when working for the Royal family and falling in love with the region.
The more embedded I became in this world, the more I noticed the deeper issues.
Families I cared about, with every resource available to them, were being let down by a private staffing industry that hadn't kept pace with their standards and didn't understand the true needs of their households. Untrained candidates were placed into roles that demanded excellence, but they had no anchor point to help them meet those levels of expectation.
I realised the most meaningful thing I could do with everything I knew wasn't to stay within the walls of one family's home.
It was to raise the standard
for all of them.
In 2022, I founded The Private Standard, a recruitment agency for UHNW families, rooted in the GCC, and built entirely on referrals.
We place every type of professional staff required in household and private offices: from Governesses, to Estate Managers, to Private Chefs, to Executive Assistants. Every role is covered. We work across the Middle East, UK, Europe, and India, including royal households and high-profile principals requiring complete discretion.
We've grown because most agencies simply don't understand how a private household runs, professionally or culturally. I do, because I've lived it from the inside.
And we continue to grow with the same intention for excellence.
In 2026, I established The Professional Nanny Standard.
I don't place domestic helpers as nannies, they don't meet the standard my agency requires. Instead, I built a different solution: training the nanny a family already knows, likes and trusts, so she can do the job properly, and their children get the care they deserve.
I leave nothing to chance. Each candidate match comes through my own private, highly vetted network.
I ensure every aspect of the placement process is covered and managed, assuring a structured, discreet and long-term fit.
There is a standard in private staffing, and I'm setting it, in every household I place into, every nanny I train, and every conversation I have about what this industry should actually look like.
